Rare letter from Baron Roussin, written in the context of operations against the government of Dom Pedro in Brazil, in order to obtain reparation for damage caused during the siege of Buenos-Aires: "Monseigneur, The King's kindnesses have called me to the command of one of his squadrons, whose operations are, in part, subordinate to orders I must receive from Your Excellency.
