NOTICE
François-Émile Décorchemont (1880-1971) ranks among the master glassmakers and decorative craftsmen of the first half of the XXᵉ century, alongside René Lalique, Émile Gallé, Gabriel Argy-Rousseau, Albert Dammouse and Amaric Walter. He also frequented the circle of ceramists Lenoble, Decœur, Serré and Soudbinine, as well as decorative craftsmen such as Linossier, Daurat and tablemaker Bastard. His grandsons, Antoine and Étienne Leperlier, continue the family tradition of pâte de verre. His style shares with these artists a taste for Art Nouveau, the transition to Art Deco, the search for light, naturalistic or geometric forms, and the demanding workmanship of the glass material.
