Rare collection of the first automobile guide, one of the most important tourist guides and the most famous gastronomic guide of the 20th century. It was created in 1900 for the Universal Exhibition by André and Édouard Michelin and "offered free of charge to drivers" with the purchase of Michelin tires. The guide listed garages, post offices, doctors, service stations, shops, as well as maps and charts. In 1904, the classification of hotels and their prices appeared for the first time. From 1920 onwards, the guide was no longer offered to motorists, but sold, and advertisements disappeared. The classification of restaurants, which was to make the guide's reputation, appeared in 1922, the most remarkable were awarded the Étoile in 1926, and it was in 1931 that the famous one-star ("worth the stop"), 2-star ("worth the detour") or 3-star ("worth the trip") classification was created. The guide was published annually, with the exception of the years 1915 to 1918, 1921 and 1940 to 1944. Guide 1900 in facsimile in 3 copies, one blister-packed with the 1989 guide and one blister-packed with the 2000 guide. 1994 guide with Eurotronics in pocket. 2004 Guide in blister pack with "La saga du guide Michelin".
