AUSTRIA, 19th century or later Large Viennese scriban cabinet in blackened wood and richly decorated with brass medallions and arabesques in polychrome enamel. The upper part and sides are adorned with polychrome enamel plaques depicting mythological scenes, opening with two leaves and revealing 6 drawers in two rows, echoing the motifs of the leaves, and topped with an openwork gallery. The lower part is adorned with polychrome enamel plaques depicting mythological scenes, and the crosspiece accommodates a drawer. The ensemble rests on four tapered legs joined by an H-shaped brace and standing on spindle-shaped feet. 177 x 107 x 69 cm.
