Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973), after - Lot 111
Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973), after 1952 Vallauris Exhibition Terracotta print based on the exhibition poster 14 x 11.2 cm (Wear) NOTICE The multi-faceted artist Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) explored the art of terracotta in the 1940s and 1950s, collaborating in particular with Suzanne Ramié's Atelier Madoura. His ceramic creations fuse his cubist style with innovative shapes and motifs. In Vallauris, Picasso explored a variety of ceramic techniques, including stoneware, earthenware and porcelain. His creations are often characterized by bold shapes and stylized motifs, often inspired by his earlier works in painting and sculpture. He used techniques such as sgraffito (scratching) to create patterns on his pieces. Roger Capron, Jacques Innocenti, Jean Derval and Georges Jouve all worked in Vallauris.
