Both stamped I NADAL LAINE for Jean-René NADAL Louis XVI period 86.5 x 55 x 46 cm and 85.5 x 56 x 47 cm Condition report available on request: contact@neo-encheres.com NOTICE Jean-René Nadal is the eldest son of Jean Nadal, a seat joiner, and the daughter of Jean Cresson. Nadal took over the workshop on rue de Cléry, where he made neoclassical chairs. During his career, he worked mainly for the Crown and for the Count of Artois, to whom he delivered many seats. He ceased his activity in 1780. Other joiners of the Louis XVI period include Jean-Baptiste Boulard, Henri Jacob, Louis Delanois and Jean-Baptiste-Claude Sené.
