BÜRGER in Donauwörth Memento Mori pocket watch Round bronze and brass case forming a skull and crossbones, the back of the head encircled by an openwork frieze of palmettes, filigree and lambrequins on a background of red felt paper glued to the inside of the case. Suspension ring welded to the top of the case. White enameled circular dial, marked "J. Burger in Donauwörth". Hour markers in Roman numerals, five-minute markers in Arabic numerals, the two markers separated by a minute track Mechanical movement, hand-wound by a square winding mechanism located on the back of the plate Escapement with verge, fusée and plate pillars with double notched ring Germany, second half of the 18th century Skull and crossbones probably added at a slightly later date Gross weight: 111.21 grams (Minor accidents and missing enamel on the dial, one hinge damaged on a jaw of the head, the pin can be removed completely and the movement can therefore be removed completely)
